I just finished it and by just I mean a few minutes I don't really know if it can be classified as a horror novel but it certainly gave me a hell of a shiver The way it ends differs from the author's previous two novels and it's a reason why I may consider it the best Again I am giving it the highest rating 5 out of 5 as I really spent splendid time reading it Just one thing I liked the way how the author uses the songs that I can also call anthems Those inspired to Yehia during his hallucinations or journeys and even the Jim Morrison hit That's a small detail that I admired

Stunning every detail has been written in a high professionalism feel like i am reading a thriller hollywoodian movie took the academy award 5 times in a row it's a masterpiece never bored i lived the details of each character really Ahmed Mourad amaze me in every novel he writes recent novels are even better the previous It blows me away all the mental and psychological events are based on studies I felt it's like Shutter Island movie at some points I got twisted as usual at some pages but I enjoyed it a lot Torab El Mass is still my favorite though

I was so glad that Mourad got out of the Rich and Powerful scum of the earth and the not so powerful taking vengeance Plot I was kind of scared that he would be stuck I am glad he was notBack to this bookI finished this book in one day Something about the plot attracted me and kept on forcing me to read I have always been able to see through complicated and far fetched plots but even my insight was wrong It touched me on a very deep level How far will people go to have what they want? What they really want?? Will they knock on doors that they know are forbidden and considered a taboo by many??I was also touched by the hero on so many levels Regret can be a very powerful enemy that could not only shackles you but drag you down to the deepest pits of hell and make you do despicable things But It can also be your guide about what really matters to you the most in lifeRead it It is not like any other thing you read

Perfect perfect Although uite non traditional for Ahmed Mourad to explore this genre of writing but as expected he excelled at it The novel starts as if it is following the traditional crime lines followed in Vertigo and Torab El Mas but takes a completely different and exciting twist while progressing What I didn't like is the excessive use of drinking drugs and sex although uite essential for the plot and is really used very cleverlyIn short really immersing novel REALLY scary exciting and unexpected Couldn't leave it before finishing it which I did in exactly two days Highly recommended

Ahmed Mourad delivers a solid story telling with a spectacular and satisfying ending The book in my opinion had almost everything Starting from the characters developing following by addressing our society's problems and ending by entering the amazing world of sorcery and magic I'd give it 4 out of 5 starsMain and probably only downside of this book is that Mourad's Metaphors are sometimes exhausting to imagine and a bit cheesy but I'd happily discard that if he delivers such a neat novel like that one

WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST READI like Ahmed Mourad he is the one of the few Arabic authors whom i read for As usual his style in writing remained unchangedit was full of his usual humor and the ugly truth It was a very easy read I finished it in a day and a half even though to be honest I did skip few useless paragraphs Now to the story it's selfIt's very gripping it makes you not wanting to put down the book until you know what the hell is going onI think that he wanted to turn an old burned story in movies and books and add his little touch and twist to it and he ended up with this modified cliche I was very confused with the images of the characters he draws them this American lifestyle picking up the mail from the front door the garden the shoes kicking and the fish tub and then he switches to this Egyptian version of them where I just couldn't put my hands on the looks of them He is very inspired by the American lifestyle which don't really go with the pure Egyptian story he is making or maybe cause his stories are always translated to other foreign languages he was trying keep them connected or something Now He always leaves me disappointed with his endings they keep getting better I admit but still there is lots of room to growI was also disappointed with him for not reveling enough information at the end like what happened to Maya? he never showed us thatAlso what happened to Sherif he could have spent a little time on how much control did he have with Na'el and their battle it would have been interesting to knowOver all I had a good time with the novel and am not judging the whole ghosty aspect of it I don't wanna upset any spirit out there D
