Interest Level K 3Have you ever been afraid to be in your bedroom by yourself? What about when you hear bumps and noises? JoJo was going to be a big girl and sleep in her room all by herself but her sister Margaret said she would be back JoJo was doing just fine until the lion showed up When JoJo runs across the hall to Margaret's room she tells her to make a sign So JoJo makes a sign that says No Lions Allowed so the lion left When the bear showed up she had to run back to Margaret's room to get a brown marker and the bear left Then the tiger showed up and she had to have an orange marker The problem is this time the tiger would not leave What is JoJo going to do? Is she going to run back to Margaret's room and hide? Or is she going to face the tiger herself? Read this precious story to find outI absolutely love love love this picture book The pictures are incredible They are so real that if feels like you are in the room with the girls and the colors are stunning I can not say enough about the aesthetic beauty of this book My next favorite thing about this book is that both girls are readers I do not go to sleep without reading before I go to bed Both of these girls have books with them at bedtime I love this Do not miss this remarkable bookFollow meBlog Blazer Tales Laurie’s Library Place laurieslibrary laurieevans27 Laurie Purser

A young girls decides she is old and brave enough to sleep in a bedroom by herself However as she drifts off to sleep she has some unexpected animals pay her a visit When a lion first appears she flicks on the light where upon the animal hides walks back to her sister's room talks to her sister and makes a sign No lions allowed Returning to her room she tapes the sign above her bed and the lion who must have read the sign has left This pattern continues until we have a tiger who cannot read and so the young brave girl decides to teach the tiger the letters using her alphabet book Stunning illustrations and of course kids will be able to make so many connections A great addition to libraries and classrooms

I love the way the little girl in this story slowly but surely learned how to deal with all kinds of animals She makes a sign for each animal telling them that no animals are allowed in her room It's not until one of the animals starts asking uestions about letters that she realizes that the animals can't read This picturebook is good for one on one reading It's also a good way to introduce the concept of examining our fears to school aged children

Aw that was fun A little girl is scared of the scary animals that lurk in the dark when she turns out the light so she puts a sign above her bed telling them they're not allowed The tiger however doesn't seem to get the message and it turns out he can't read so the little girl teaches him how to read and all the scary animals become reading pals with her

This book is gr r reat The illustrations are priceless and the story allows kids to laugh at their fears of the dark That said I could also see where this story could potentially cultivate some fears about creatures in one's room at night so parents may want to preview it first
